Northern Star It's so cold tonight As we drift toward the light In the distance I see it...a star And sometimes late at night I dream of the light And I reach for your truth in my heart And I know that I've come to the right time I know that you've called me by name I know that you won't leave me broken...just the same And Bethlehem's waiting, you know it's not far Follow that Northern star, follow that Christmas star... And I know sometimes You feel cold in the night As you reach for the light in your heart And I've heard your call Though I'm nothing at all But I'll go tho that place, right back to the start And I know that I've come to the right time I know that you've called me by name I know that you won't leave me broken...just the same...just the same And Bethlehem's waiting, you know it's not far Follow that Northern star, follow that Northern star... Follow that Christmas star, follow that Christmas star...

about

In distant years past, I've had the privilege of performing at a Christmas house-show with some friends of mine. They've always put on a great night filled with laughter, mulled-wine and english treats...and it has also given me a chance to dig out some old Wintery/Holiday tunes (and to work on some new songs myself). One of the songs I enjoy performing is "I Believe in Father Christmas" by Greg Lake. I love the message of the song and this year it seemed particularly relevant. I recorded a version for this EP, as well as a cover of "New Years Day" by U2. I've also included an original tune called "Northern Star" (and a bonus instrumental version of "Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel," which I originally recorded a few years ago for my "Canadian Winters" album). Thanks for listening!
